Resignation Area
The correct resignation process will contribute to continued success in both your personal and career development.
Make sure that you know what you are doing, be prepared, be positive and good luck!
Carefully consider your options before stepping into the job market -
- Are you committed to leaving? Make a list of reasons of why you should resign.
- Have you pursued all avenues for advancement within your current employer?
- Would you leave if you were offered more money or a promotion? If you do decide to stay after a counter offer have you considered the potential implications?
- How is your career going? You should talk to your line manager before you decide to get on the job market or your Personnel / HR Manager to assess how they think you're doing however be aware that this could spark off suspicion!
- Will you be better off in your new job? Consider career and personal development as the main factors before money and location.
- Talk to your family, does the new position fit in with your current personal situation eg Nights and shift work. How do they think you should progress?
- What does your heart say? What does your head say?
